Carbon Materials with a Kick!

From the MCP Special Issue on Carbon Materials

Chemical synthesis and materials applications of carbon and carbon-related materials are the focus of a new special issue of Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics, guest-edited by renowned experts Klaus Müllen and Markus Antonietti.

The state of the art in this area is presented by emphasizing three aspects – ‘Organic/Polymer Synthesis of Carbons’, ‘Graphene Synthesis’, and ‘Carbon Materials’ – with Review Articles critically summarizing the present understanding, knowledge, and open questions, while carefully selected Full Papers display examples of ongoing recent research. It is shown that chemical control is the most critical issue, and many structural features from the molecular level to meso- and macroscopic scales need to be controlled.

The authors who have contributed to this issue are among the leading scientists in their field, including James Tour, Kris Matyjaszewski, Mark Hersam, Arne Thomas, C. N. R. Rao and Robert Hurt. The complete information on topics and authors can be found here.
