Magnesium 2009 Poster WinnersThe international conference Magnesium 2009 was held 26-29 October 2009 in Weimar, organized by the DGM. To award the outstanding work of young scientists in this important area of modern light metal research and technology, Wiley sponsored two Poster awards.The winners are Petra Gunde, ETH Zürich, for her work on Development of Mg-Yb-Zn Alloys for Medical Application, and Mat Simpkins, Cranfield University for his work on Photochemical Machining of Magnesium for Microengineering Applications. The award was based on the voting of all conference delegates after the poster presentations, where both awardees convinced the delegates through the scientific content of their work and the excellent presentation of the results.
