Click Chemistry in Polymer Science – FREE ACCESS to Selected Articles from the Special Issue of Macromolecular Rapid Communications

Macromolecular Rapid Communications has dedicated a topical Special Issue to click chemistry in polymer science, guest-edited by Wolfgang H. Binder. The enormous impact of the azide/alkyne-"click"-reaction within the field of polymer science, which is underlined by the publication of around 220 papers and at least 10 patents in this context, has inspired Macromolecular Rapid Communications and guest-editor W. H. Binder to organize a Special Issue dedicated to this fascinating topic. By using "click" chemistry not only more, but also more complex molecules and materials can be approached in cases where in earlier times longer experiments and planning has been required. Review Articles in this issue cover a whole range of topics from biodegradable polymers to higher polymer architectures, from multi-step reactions to macromolecular chimeras. In addition, several communications stress the importance of the reaction and demonstrating its enormous efficiency and applicability. Read selected articles for free until August 31, 2008:
