Wiley-VCH Seeks Commissioning Editor Organic Chemistry

Wiley-VCH are offering the position of a Commissioning Editor Organic Chemistry.

Applicants should have experience in publishing, be innovative, self-motivated, and have the desire to contribute to the further development of one of the world's top scientific book programmmes. You will be responsible for ensuring effective management and growth of our international chemistry book programme, including the acquisition and development of books, book series, reference work and products in other delivery formats. The successful applicant will attend meetings and conferences, visit laboratories and maintain contact with the international scientific community.

A broad interest in science, excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal), diplomacy, and flexibility are needed. You have strong negotiation skills to deal with authors and you are motivated as well as resultsand business-oriented. You have excellent analytical skills and judgement to identify opportunities and projects with high potential for success. You possess a good knowledge in international or national publishing, preferably book publishing, have a broad education in chemistry and the ability to work independently as well as closely with others. Excellent knowledge in English as well as very good knowledge in German is required (both written and verbal).The position is based in Weinheim, Germany.
