A Chinese research team have constructed a powerful new supercapacitor using two types of graphene – composite and porous.

By using microwave CVD, high quality, single crystal diamond membranes have been epitaxially grown. The resulting material exhibits bright luminescence and good electron spin coherences times, suitable for application in quantum computing.

A simple way to identify the number of graphene sheets on a substrate, even over a large area, is shown by US researchers.

This special issue on low-dimensional carbon materials for Small is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Center for Nanochemistry at Peking University.
