Video Interview: Christopher Barner-Kowollik

We talk to Professor Christopher Barner-Kowollik, head of the Macromolecular Architectures group at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

Professor Christopher Barner-Kowollik is the head of the Macromolecular Architectures group at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Karlsruhe, Germany.  His group has been heavily involved in work on surface functionalization and light-triggered chemistry in biological systems. Their publications include Light-Induced Modular Ligation of Conventional RAFT Polymers, (Bio)Molecular Surface Patterning by Phototriggered Oxime LigationAdding Spatial Control to Click Chemistry: Light-Triggered Diels–Alder Surface (Bio)functionalization at Ambient Temperature, and Facile Preparation of Reactive Three-Dimensional Microstructures via Direct Laser Writing and Thiol-ene Chemistry.

MaterialsViews recently had the opportunity to talk to Professor Barner-Kowollik about his work: see below for the entire video.
